The current situation changed every aspect of our lives - and the options to work out and stay fit is no exception. If you used to be a regular gym-goer you probably already feel homesick by now, missing your daily routine of working out. Unfortunately, due to the current regulations going to the gym is no longer an option, however you don’t have to give up on exercise. The internet is providing a lot of options to work out at home, even without any special equipment needed. ‘Oh snap, I just bought a gym membership but the gym is closed’ is no longer an excuse for working out and staying fit during quarantine! This week we summarized our favourite options of working out at home. Let’s have a look on the unlimited possibilities of quarantrain!
1. Yoga, Meditation and Mindfulness
If you are not practicing meditation and/or mindfulness normally, right now would be the perfect time to start as we are experiencing times of increased uncertainty and anxiety. Meditation can help you cope with the changing environment. 2. Without equipment
If your biggest excuse is the lack of fitness equipment, this part is for you. Check out these quarantine workouts and besides making you laugh you will believe that there is no such thing as impossible just lack of creativity! No one expects you to run a marathon on your balcony (although one professional runner already proved it is possible if you are determined enough) but you cannot postpone exercise any longer because you do not have the necessary equipment. Check out the ideas below on how to exercise at home using household items - gallon of milk, books, bags are all gym equipments - even a bottle of wine! Which comes very handy if you want to treat yourself at the end of the day, after a successful workout.
3. Fitness and toning
If you feel like days are moving slow in the lockdown, setting some achievable short-term goals for yourself can help you see the calendar from a different perspective.
