During self isolation hiking is a great way to enjoy nature and it helps you to find the beauty in the simplicities of life. Likewise you can appreciate the beauty of a little blossoming flower or you can be amazed by the view of the full of green trees.
We’d like to show you our favourite spots, where you should go to hike.
Apáthy -szikla
Why we love it?
It is a relatively short hike that doesn't require a huge climb, making it a good option for kids. There's pay-off for making it to the top, which include great views of Hüvősvölgy and the outskirts of the 2nd disctrict. Moreover it’s also dog friendly.
It is pretty easy to get there you can take a bus from Batthyány square and go by the bus nr. 11 to the end station.
Normafa
Why we love it?
In addition to the great workout, this hike provides some of the best views in Budapest. There are a few different buses to choose, such as bus nr. 21 or 21A. And since this is one of the most popular hikes in Budapest, you're bound to have some company. Reward yourself with some hungarian Lángos, or Rétes, which is one of the best in the town there.
At Normafa you can go for a run, ride a bike, and also you can do street workout, because there is a great street work out spot, where you can also see the pretty view. If you want work hard you can run up to the Jánoshegyi-viewpoint. We guarantee that it is going to be a super sweaty run there, but it worth it, trust us. There is also big a playground, where kids can find some good company and for dogs it is a great place to run around.

Hármashatárhegy
Why we love it?
If you’ve got little ones in tow or only an hour or so to stretch your legs, this hike is your ticket: it starts and ends with a stunning view of the city.
If we’ve got there it is worth to visit the Oroszlán szikla (Lion stone), and other viewpoints on the top of the mountain. You can go through shady walk ways, also there is the Országos Kéktúraútvonal, which one of the longest hike way in the country.
You can go there from the Kolosy square by bus. We recommend you that on the way to the mountain stop by the Daubner pastry shop and have a nice ice cream :)
