Csillaghegy Baths and Swimming Pool

Despite the current situation, we would like to introduce you a peaceful and charming bath in the wooded area of Budapest. Hopefully this blog will cheer you up a little bit and make it easier to cope with the fact that you are advised to spend your time at home. Sooner or later when the virus will be gone so you can visit this beautiful spa and fully enjoy every single part of it.

About the Spa: In this complex there are 5 floors. Every floor gives you an individual possibility to enjoy your time there. Now we would like to show you them.

• Ground floor: You will find the entrance, foyer, cashiers, changing rooms and a buffet.

• First floor: There is a huge swimming pool and 2 small saunas (Finnish and Infrared).

• Second floor: The east side, there is a gallery which contains a lounge area and a spa area with 3 pools and 2 massage rooms.

• Third floor: You will find the “childrens world” with pools and many fun features. Besides that, there is a playing corner and a water playground.

• Fourth floor: This floor gives home to the restaurant, where you can choose from many delicious foods.

• Fifth and top floor: Here you will find the sauna world, where there is an aroma sauna, devil sauna, steam room, large panoramic finnish sauna, steam bath, and bio sauna. Next to the saunas, there are hot and cold divepools. One of the specialities of the sauna area is the panoramic terrace and the panoramic pool, from where you can see the beautiful wooded landscape. The spa also has two giant slides.

Our experience:

In our opinion, the sauna world is the best way to enjoy a relaxing time. The saunas are big and not crowded at all. Two of them have windows, which is very rare and unique at least in Hungary. I’ve never been in a sauna like that. We felt like we were at one with the nature. This was a beautiful feeling, that should everyone experience.

What was even better, was the warm outdoor pool. Even if the weather is not the best, you can still feel good (you won’t be cold) because of the warm water. There is nothing better than watching the sunset from the steaming pool.

In terms of value for money, this is a great spa facility. There is no problem with the parking, since there are free parking spots. They also provide discounted ticket prices for students and pensioners.

All in all we think this Spa may be better than some of the bigger ones that are packed with tourists in the most visited hours. When the situation gets better, you should definitely try it out!
