The majority of businesses, organizations and projects around the globe are affected by this global pandemic – and BeLocal BP is not an exception. Although, our mission to show the inside life of Budapest got hijacked by the current situation we are not giving up – just changing our perspective.

Unfortunately, the opportunities to visit our beloved city are very limited at the moment, but we believe that this cannot stop us from showing you the true beauty of the city. There is much more to it than the historical buildings, Instagram worthy restaurants and tourist sights.

We would like to grab the chance to show you that you can actually get to know the rhythm, people and culture of a city without visiting it. We hope and believe that we can still contribute to your future trip – and we guarantee that if you keep following us, once the travel restrictions are over your first flight will be to Budapest!

We would like to emphasize that to comply with the current regulations, we do not recommend travelling until it is declared safe. Trust us - seeing the empty streets of Budapest and our favorite cafés and bars shut down fills our hearts with sadness too, but the most important thing right now is to stay safe and follow the instructions issued by the authorities.

So what’s next?

Fortunately, Hungary is famous for its wise (and impossible to pronounce) sayings, and there is an adequate one for every situation that might occur: Nincs más hátra mint előre! There is no going back, only forward! Our mission is to keep showing Budapest to you - you would be surprised of the amount of alternative ways to bring the city to your couch!
